What is Phenoxyethanol?

Phenoxyethanol's regulatory approval is global and comprehensive. It is approved for use in cosmetics by the EU (up to 1%), the FDA, Health Canada, and regulatory bodies across Asia and Australia. The EU Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) has reviewed its safety profile multiple times and confirmed its appropriateness at the standard cosmetic use level. It is used specifically to protect formula integrity rather than to produce any active skin benefit.

What does it do for skin?
